Welcome to the Illinois Fox Trotter Horse Association
The Illinois Fox Trotter Horse Association (IFTHA) is an affiliate of the Missouri Fox Trotting Horse Breed Association. We are a non-profit organization dedicated to informing and educating the public to promote and perpetuate the Missouri Fox Trotter as a distinct breed and serving as a social vehicle for MFT enthusiasts throughout Illinois.
The IFTHA sponsors clinics, breed demonstrations, trail rides, and provides a friendly environment for competitive showing through sponsorship of MFT classes at the Illinois State Fair Society Horse Show each year. Our membership includes a wide variety of MFT and gaited horse enthusiasts from breeders to trail riders who all enjoy the pleasure of owning a smooth-gaited horse like the Missouri Fox Trotter
